I lead the ads monetization teams for Google Discover and Gmail, supporting a motivated team of 130+ engineers. My work focuses on building state-of-the-art personalized ads delivery systems that drive a fast-growing, multi-billion dollar business for Google. We operate at the intersection of ad personalization, retrieval, deep learning, marketplace optimization, and large-scale serving infrastructure.

Previously, I led engineering for DemandGen (Google's solution to help Social advertisers to be successful in Google), and have pioneered real-time budgeting & bidding optimization and experimentation frameworks.

2024 - Present: Engineering Lead for monetization of Google Discover and Gmail. Supporting 130+ engineers across Infra, ML, UX, and Marketplace Optimization to build two fast growing multi-billion dollar businesses end-to-end. In 2024, also led engineering for "DemandGen campaigns" across YouTube, Discover, and Gmail.

Key Focus: Personalized recommendation, ML, ad formats and marketplace optimization to drive user sentiment and advertiser value.

2020 - 2024: Engineering lead for Monetization of Google Discover. Focused on building state of the art personalized ad recommendation systems, and grew the business from $xxM/year to $yB/year.


2013 - 2019: Pioneered multiple high-impact innovations in the budgeting & bidding, including the first near-real time budget controlled experiment framework across all Google Ads products, and the first infrastructure to do near-real time joint budgeting + bidding optimization at Google.Ads.
